Hi folks,

So I am officially going back to school come January! (I'm excited, is that weird?). Being as I'll be a full time student, I'll be leaving my full time job , which has been leaving me fatigued and unmotivated to practice my hobbies lately, the lack of new opportunities in Ottawa made me decide to pursue a different career. I'll be using any extra time I may have to do some projects I've wanted to do for a long time, and do some odd jobs to get me through college.
New Years projects include (but are not limited to):
- Disney plush dolls: I'd like to design my own, this will be my first plush project(s) and if I enjoy it I'll keep at it and maybe even commission some
- Get back into drawing some characters: I'd still love to one day have an artist table (with my partner in crime ), with lots and lots of buttons, but I'll never get there with a rusty wrist.
- Get in shape: with a (hopefully) more flexible schedule, I'm gonna hit the gym a bit more, I've even given myself a training schedule for the year!
- Get a head start on cosplays: I'll only be attending local cons this year (g-anime and comic-con), but I'll get a head start on next year's cosplay as well (list to come). This year the new one's will be Clover from 999 for g-anime and Zelda from Skyward Sword at Comic-con.
That's the update so far (for those who were wondering)

So this year was my first year at Otakuthon. I enjoyed the venue and having our hotel and china town across the street was great. The only other big con I've been to was Anime North which has also been fun but the event locations in Toronto are so far from each other (even with the shuttle), I liked how everything was in one building.

On another note I think I'll be taking a break from abroad cons, no AN or Otakuthon 2015 for me, I'm just gonna stick to Ottawa this year and work on some things and save some money.

I do think I'll be attending G-Anime and Ottawa Comic con, weither it'd be for the weekend or just the Saturday I haven't thought that far but I'll be limiting myself to one cosplay per con regardless.
Expected line-up:
G-Anime - Clover from 999
Ottawa Comic Con - Zelda from Skyward Sword

Things I would like to work on during this break:
- Get a car!
- Delve in to new hobbies - I obsess over pins but can't exactly afford the pin making equipment and I don't have enough drawings to integrate into pin format anyway. Instead I plan to do some practice plushies, see if that's something I would enjoy doing. and add more drawings to my collection too
- Work on some panels to present at conventions. I'm planning to put together a 999/VLR panel with a friend that also really enjoys the Zero Escape franchise, we're thinking of having a test panel at G-Anime, see how popular it could be and get some opinions from other folks on the series. Professor Layton and possibly a Fullmetal Alchemist one could also be in the works.
- Improve gameshows, for those who may have seen them I had 2 gameshows (FMA: Jeopardy and Disney Don't Forget the Lyrics) at AN (FMA returned at Otakuthon). I plan to vastly improve those for sure! Especially the Disney one.

That's my plans for next year

So you may have noticed, I didn't post my AN pictures from the passed 2 years, the reason for that is;
well 1, it's so much faster to share them via social media.
and 2 I'm not a professional so I'm too lazy to post via DA all snail like
So yes I did have a new camera and went as trigger happy as my cosplay would allow me, but it's just too time consuming to post everything to DA (sorry).
But I will post my circle's cosplay pics sorry if you were hoping to see yourself here. and sorry that I'm super late about this, I'm a really bad procrastinator, doesn't help that my laptop is really crappy.

So my last con of 2014 is coming up (Otakuthon) - though I am considering Ottawa Popexpo for a day - it's 4 weeks away and I have a few things to do;
- put together a clicker from scratch for Summerween weekend before the con
- make any alteration to Rhyme *priority*
- touch up Team Magma
- make additions to Leafeon that were missing at Anime North
- update the FMA gameshow
All in all, I think this'll be do-able. I'll post WIP pics as I go, just have to remember to do so

I treated myself to a brand camera So you can bet your bottom I'll be going crazy with the picture taking at future conventions. speaking of, I've reviewed my 2014 cosplay and con list (again) to suit my budget and skill level
Anime North is still ago but I'll only be doing Team Magma and Leafeon (No May)
I'm skipping out on Ottawa Comic-con (unless I win free tickets...)
Still going to Otakuthon, Kind of obligated to

Debating on bringing "business cards" to link cosplayers here so's they can find their pictures.
